The RS18 Backpack Sprayer is one of our most popular models - and for good reason. With its 18-litre capacity, solid construction, and user-friendly design, it offers outstanding value and performance. We believe more users could benefit from its thoughtful features, so here's a detailed look at what makes the RS18 a top pick.
Right out of the box, the RS18 impresses. The packaging is vibrant, sturdy, and filled with high-quality photos and information. Inside, you'll find a comprehensive 125-page instruction manual, including 8 pages in English. It covers everything from safety advice and assembly instructions to maintenance tips and troubleshooting - everything you need to get started and keep going.
Assembly is refreshingly straightforward. With the shoulder straps already attached, you’ll only need to fit five components. A small bag inside the tank contains essential fittings—don’t miss it!
Attach the hose to the tank and trigger handle (remember the locking threads).
Fit the metal lance to the handle.
Install the pump lever, which can be mounted on either side for left or right-handed use. It features an adjustable extension with three length settings and three width settings for operator comfort.
Everything slots into place easily - though we recommend doing this in good lighting, as aligning the locking pin can be fiddly in the dark.
The 1.5-metre hose is durable and feels more robust than many others on the market. The white polypropylene tank is solid and well-balanced, and the sprayer overall gives the impression of a well-engineered, professional-grade tool.
Filling the tank is simple, thanks to the wide 140mm neck and bright yellow lid. A removable plastic filter in the neck prevents debris from entering the tank and potentially blocking the nozzle - handy, and highly recommended to leave in place.
The padded shoulder straps make wearing the RS18 comfortable even when full. Just be sure to clip them into the base of the tank before putting it on. With plenty of strap adjustment available, the RS18 suits a wide range of body types and sizes.
Once assembled and filled, a few pumps of the lever will pressurize the system. A pressure gauge on the trigger handle shows real-time pressure build-up - an excellent feature that ensures you're operating safely and efficiently. The RS18 offers up to 6 BAR maximum pressure and a flow rate of 1.4 litres per minute - ideal for larger spraying tasks.
If you're looking for a reliable, high-capacity backpack sprayer that’s easy to assemble, comfortable to use, and built to perform, the RS18 is a fantastic choice.
